Research methodology

A short description of how Japan Gateway approaches guides and Japanese-company research.

Guides

Guides are written to explain a system, decision or planning question in plain language. They identify relevant sources and dates where available. Tax, pension, insurance, immigration and investment rules can change; readers should verify current details with the responsible authority or a qualified adviser.

Investor Intelligence

Investor Intelligence reports are separate research products. Their scope, evidence, version, as-of date, access level and limitations should be read together. Reports are research support and general information, not investment advice, a recommendation or an instruction to trade.

Evidence and uncertainty

We aim to distinguish a source-backed fact from an interpretation, an unresolved question or an evidence gap. A stated limitation is part of the result, not an afterthought. No performance outcome is promised.
